6. Day 12: Feel The Holy Spirit

Many times a day I am pausing to feel the Holy Spirit within me as a way of extending love to my tiredness.  I am reminded to do this even by my friend Bartholomew: “Love is not just a thought; love is a physical sensation.  It is a motion within the physical body that produces a wondrous warmth and sense of well-being, in the face of anything that might be happening.”——–Planetary Brother, by Bartholomew p. 122 This definition of unconditional love below sounds exactly like what I am hoping to uncover as my daily experience as  my epic fears are melted by the...

5. Day 3: Tapping Into The Truth

5. Day 3: Tapping Into The Truth

My walk this morning was less vast, more slog.  I could barely connect with the beauty of land, sky and domicile. When I rounded the end of our street I started tapping (A protocol of awareness that works incredibly well;  you tap certain points on head and face in order while repeating “Even though…….; I deeply and completely love and accept myself”. This is used most effectively with trauma and thoughts/emotions you just can’t get around/through.)   I was willing to try anything to get over the impossibility of EVERY DAY, especially on only the third day. tap,...

4. Day 27: Meditation On Emptiness

4. Day 27: Meditation On Emptiness

I am loving the seeing that I am letting go into, rather than of.  This feels infinitely truer in every way.  As I am becoming friendly with the Vastness [of Love] I notice anything and everything that can help me let go into that Love that I am.  This quote from “Journeys With A Brother” is a perfect meditation on space which helps shift my focus from my thoughts to Love.  Extending love to space is extending love to my thoughts because the space is holding everything (including my zany, incessant, frequently panicky thoughts). “Acknowledge that everything outside yourself...

4. Day 15: Are You Getting Great Cell Service?

4. Day 15: Are You Getting Great Cell Service?

Today is a big day of let down, letting go and giving thanks.  This passage really opened my eyes to letting go of ignoring my body and instead, on purpose, extend love to my body: “Cells are not the thinking part of this body mind union.  They are receptive and their function is to await the directive of the mind.  What you give as a directive is what the cells will pay attention to.  Every moment of your life you have the opportunity to bathe you own cellular structure with gratitude, love and appreciation.”   ————–“Journeys With A Brother:...

4. Day 13: You Can See Without Judgment

4. Day 13: You Can See Without Judgment

I am not sure yet what my long string of tremendously busy days is actually for but I am pretty sure I was given the answer up front with this month’s extending love to the fear of letting go.  This day went from 4:30am -11:30pm, it went from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe [back to Sac then] to San Fransisco Bay and back home again.  The day included business meetings, readying the house between visitors, laundry, groceries, traffic, an unbelievably deep and restorative power nap (thank you Jesus!), a brilliant dinner, a hilarious discovery with a good friend,  a delightful car ride with the...

4. Day 5: Full Disclosure

I keep being shown over and over again just how much I HANG ON to everything; thoughts, habits, clothes, email, paperwork etc.  Letting go sounds easy, like how hard would it be to let go of one thing each day?  I am telling you this now.  It makes me feel vulnerable, unprepared, lackadaisical, and like I am cheating somehow.  It also feels really good.  Yikes!  How can these two groups of feeling integrate?  I guess this is what my month of extending love to letting go is all about. I want to explain briefly how I do this blog.  I have several friends who read and are a tad confused.  For...
