Self Love Has The Greatest ROI

I am beginning to realize the many gifts of the wedding season of last year.  Now that I have rested, regrouped and breathed deeply into this new year I can look back in great wonder.  I was guided again and again into Self Love as the answer to my overwhelm, my tired, my juggling……..and it worked every time.  The ROI (Return On Investment) of Self Love is surely more than 100% if that is even possible to measure. I have mentioned before how much Spirit loves to speak to my heart through poetry.  These two poems somehow answered my heart’s silent question of “Is it...

Having a Wedding Is Like Having a Baby

A little under six months ago I returned with great delight to my blog with amazing ideas and plans for my writing………….and then there was a wedding. This does not mean I got distracted or busy or overwhelmed (although all of these happened) this means that I was privileged to be a part of an incredible creation project not unlike the creation of a new life you experience in pregnancy.  When I look at my calendar, to-do lists, journal entries and the bags under my eyes I am inclined to give myself 2016 OFF completely for a job very well done.  Of course this...

10. Day 18: Yo’ Mama, Time To Extend Love

10. Day 18: Yo’ Mama, Time To Extend Love

I woke up to this thought yesterday which I naturally wrote down in my journal.  This was in preparation for today when I really needed it: “When you are experiencing fear of any kind the only decision to make is to extend love immediately; to your fear, your self, your circumstances and your feelings.  Ask for help in doing this. Ask what quality of love to extend.  Ask how to express this. When you are in the awareness of love, ask to be guided, open and aware of Love’s love that is flowing through you.  All is well because all is well.” My husband and I had the most...

7. Day 28: How Can I Include Myself (Right Now)?

7. Day 28: How Can I Include Myself (Right Now)?

I asked Holy Spirit how I can include even the fearful parts of ourselves in the wedding preparations.  No matter how surrounded from within and without by love I am, thoughts of fear or discord or annoyance come up in an attempt to steal the moment from joy. Me:  How best can I include all parts of myself in preparations for the wedding and allow for calm, delight and focused energy? HS:  You set the tone of your doing with your BEING and your intention of being. Dear One, this is a marvelous unconditional practice ground to join in the delight and planning of an event (any event).  Ask...

7. Day 27: Guess Who’s In The Wedding Party?

7. Day 27: Guess Who’s In The Wedding Party?

I found myself sitting at the dining table with my daughter and a dear friend (who also just happens to be a wedding & event planner;) purportedly brainstorming about the wedding but actually getting a crash course in honesty.  Who doesn’t love those early days of planning a big event?  It is a time when dreams run wild and all is possible.  What was different here is that I had also invited honesty.  In myself, in my daughter and in my friend.  I didn’t say “Now, let’s be honest with one another!” but that is exactly what happened.  I was blown away by how...

7. Day 23: The Wedding Practice

Earlier this month I explored 100 Ways To Be Aware Of Honesty with Holy Spirit.  I keep returning to this list for inspiration, guidance, and to see how far my awareness has come in just a few weeks.  What jumps out at me today is how it was a revelation that I could encourage, allow and welcome honesty in others by being honest with myself.  I didn’t realize my own hesitation to be honest with myself actually sends the message that honesty is not entirely welcome. It was with a big gulp that I decided that honesty was, indeed, a two way street.  If I was going to go within and hear my...
