8. Day 8: The Knowing Of Creation
I continue to ask Holy Spirit for insight and willingness to be with Not-Knowing without agenda. HS: Relax into Not-Knowing. The knowing of creation will come at exactly the perfect time. In every case there will be, is, and was everything you need at hand. Nothing is left to chance. Not-Knowing is not chance or random or a roll of the dice. Not-Knowing is from which all is chosen, created, extended and delighted in. Fear not this vastness–it is not a place, a moment or a decision–it is the stuff of ALL-IS. The more comfortable you are with Not-Knowing and ALL-IS the more...

I am trying not to see my earache as a metaphor of my unwillingness not to hear the truth re Not-Knowing, but it is almost impossible not to. What is new for me is to “stay with” my earache in tenderness, welcome and care rather than “What the heck can I do to get rid of this??!!” I will bet that my earache will last as long as it lasts regardless and I have before me the continual choice to delight in this or suffer in this. Honestly (and when I say that I mean it deeply having spent a month co-habitating with honesty without a license) I would really rather...

Yesterday was one of those days that you wonder how on earth you got there in the first place and how will you make it to the end of the day in a state of anything coming close to wholeness. We are flying to London in a week for an extended time of work, sabbatical and wonder. But first there is an important conference to attend in Los Angeles. What fertile ground for the practice of not-knowing. I faced yesterday in such a state of not-knowing (spilled over from the previous day of not-knowing) that I almost had to laugh as I looked at the day’s list which included changing dinner...

Dearest Holy Spirit, please open my heart and mind to the ways to practice extending love and being in the not-knowing without fear. Help me to see this as Friend. (Holy Spirit loves speaking to me in lists) 100 Reasons Why Not-Knowing Is My Friend I don’t know everything I can rest in that acknowledgment I don’t have to know everything I don’t have to find somebody else who does know I can be at peace while not-knowing therefore not-knowing cannot hurt me Not-knowing releases me from specific outcomes Not-knowing is a store of all possibilities Jesus faced & befriended not-knowing So,...

I feel bubbly, jittery, nervous and swirly. The rapid staccato strobe light effect is like having my heart on speed boil. I need to express it all and just allow the flow so balance and peace may return to my awareness. I can barely calm down with all that is going on (of the happiest variety, flying to LA for a conference, prepping for our departure soon to UK, a wedding etc). Help and guide me into peace now. My walk helped tremendously. It allowed the nervous energy to move through me and left me open to hear the Holy Spirit. These thoughts came to me during the walk. HS:...

I love a good mystery. Why is that so? If I fear not-knowing, why would I love mystery? What is it about mystery stories that makes us love them? 1. It will all work out in the end. 2. We know the actors (or characters) are not really dead, lost, hurt or betrayed. 3. We can feel the thrill of the fear, that frisson of anticipation and apprehension without taking it on as our own story, (Unless we do get so immersed in the thrill we forget that the story isn’t real and we are not in danger in any way.) This is actually one of the reasons you keep reading my blog–mystery. You...
