5. Day 10: He Walks With Me

My sweetheart has joined me on my morning walk (he runs ahead, then back, and runs ahead again) and now I have both quiet time and company.  At first I was worried I would end up talking (talking…..talking….) but thankfully, since it is yet early when we walk  and we are both in the slow of the day, I still experience that quiet I need so. EVERY DAY I get to walk with myself (and now my husband) and our Holy Self is here too.  The nature of our morning time really speaks to my heart in a healing and whole way.  This quote from the wonderful Mary Magdalene Within (a beautiful...

4. Day 30: Letting Go Of Today

As my month of extending love to the fear of letting go wraps up I stand in gratitude for all I have come to see.  A mere four weeks ago (!) I held tightly to all I loved (and even to anything I didn’t love, now that I think about it) and could see no other way of being.  The month my Holy Friend chose for me to remind myself of the Love that I am in the form of a month of extending love to the fear of Letting Go.  My practice extending love to letting go this month has released something new, yet ancient in me.  I don’t need to “hold on tight” to anything, not even...

4. Day 21: How Do I Love Thee?

The days have been so full and my quiet time and meditation are happening in all kinds of ways (and at odd times) and I am feeling a little discombobulated.  Where do I need my awareness to grow? HS:  Let us nestle together in peace now.  Abide in me as I abide in you. Bring me the treasures of my heart that I may once again know the truth.   “How Do I Love Thee?” How do I love Thee, let me count the ways in innocence, in pain, in strength, in loneliness in joy, in sadness, in bereavement, and in gladness in toil, in rest, in anger, in jest in truth, in lying, in living and...

4. Day 14: Haiku Ka-choo

4. Day 14: Haiku Ka-choo

After yesterday’s miles and moment, today bring another opportunity to let go and let God (like I could do anything else).  Today my daughter is moving out of her college flat and we get to be the movers and the shakers.  But first I begin the day, thankfully, in the early morning peace and quiet on the back porch.  I am too tired for anything but for the Holy Spirit to speak to me in poetry, our original love language.  These haiku were the balm and nourishment I needed. “Haiku Ka-choo” Breeze flows peace against my skin an incence smoke of tranquility cares Birdsong...

4. Day 6: Breath Takes A Holiday

4. Day 6: Breath Takes A Holiday

My family recently travelled to Ashland, OR and to Crater Lake National Park.  This was a brief but chock-a-block full two days which included:  lunch in Shasta City, photo op & tee shirt purchases in Weed, CA (how could you not stop and get a picture of that sign?), Klamath River, Oregon boarder celebration (my step mother’s 50th State on her bucket list of all fifty states!  Woo hoo!!!), tea & cookies at hotel, dinner at Larks, a brilliant all female production of Two Gentlemen of Verona (at Ashland’s famous Shakespeare Festival), running into an old friend of my...

3. Day 29: Sunday Meditation

Thank you for the delicious meditation this morning.  Thank you especially for this thought: What if I remembered ONLY myself? In that moment, all my thoughts, plans, roles, identities neatly fell away as I simply was in peace, tranquility, quiet, gentle joy and wholeness.  Thank you so much for this!  I feel restored, refreshed and re-JOYed.   The absence of guilt reveals the Presence of Love: whole, clean, empty yet fulfilled precious, tender, comfort-able willing to be yesterday, today and forever certain of holiness and truth open, welcoming and treasured delighted, joyful and...
