7. Day 31: Love Loves Tricks AND Treats!

What a fabulous day to conclude my month of extending love to honesty!  All Hallow’s Eve.  I feel both hallowed by gratitude and hollowed out like a pumpkin after getting up close and personal with honesty.  I kind of hate to admit it hasn’t been as scary as I thought it would be to be honest and to welcome honesty in others.  Before, I was like a kid who’d run up to the door and ring the bell but was too scared to see who answered the door.  I never stayed around long enough to get my candy treasure.  Honesty always answers the door.  It can say yes or no or thank you....

7. Day 30: Judgment Can Come Too

I had a docent training yesterday that left my head spinning.  It went so long I was in traffic I normally miss so got the opportunity to sit quietly with my thoughts on the drive home.  My thoughts were like a group of 5th graders after indulging in the Halloween treats offered at the class party; rowdy, tired, hyped up on sugar and had no way to expend the energy.  Because I am extending honesty this month I tried extending honesty to the moment.  I was tired, bewildered, hungry, confused, yet strangely empowered.  None of this made sense.  I am an art docent at the Crocker Art Museum and...

6. Day 30: Tiredness Is But A Reminder To Go Within

In this month I have spent with tiredness (extending love, honesty, understanding, awareness and trust etc) I can honestly say “What was I afraid of again??”  I now know, down to my [still occasionally weary] toes that tiredness is but my reminder to pause, breathe and go within.  Immediately if not sooner. I can see that tiredness covers a multitude of sins of love’s omission.  When I think about, worry about, brag or complain about tiredness, I am missing its precious gift.  Only when I stop and really notice, welcome, allow and be with tiredness does it reveal its true...

6. Day 29: I Am As God Created Me

I was looking through an old journal and came across this yummy quote from A Course In Miracles which is a wonderful way to describe seeing myself as I really am, not just as one wearing the tiredness cloak of my creation. “237.  Now would I be as God created me. Today I will accept the truth about myself.  I will arise in glory, and allow the light in me to shine upon the world throughout the day.  I bring the world the tidings of salvation which I hear as God my Father speaks to me. And I behold the world that Christ would have me see, aware it ends the bitter dream of death; aware...

5. Day 30: The Center Of My Heart

5. Day 30: The Center Of My Heart

Holy Spirit, this month of extending love to the fear of EVERY DAY is coming to an end.  Is there a final message or practice you can share to make this month feel complete? HS:  Dearest One, You think you have learned to show up every day yet what you are learning is that you already show up every day.  Your awareness of this truth is what has become evident.  Anything that increases your awareness of Love’s presence is useful to all hearts.  And everything is being used to increase your awareness of Love’s Presence. Every day, I look at you in wonder and joy for you are my...
