10. Day 19: Worry In The Hands Of The Beloved

I placed my worries yesterday squarely in the hands of the Beloved, the Holy Spirit, Divine Order, God (however you say the One who holds all things in The Heart of Love).  I continued to receive lovely messages of how to see worry and what to do with it instead.  Beginning with this terrific quote from a new book I found in Petaluma last weekend when we returned our friend from Japan to his hotel:

“If you care about someone, worry is the worst energy you can send.  It directly transmits fear and restriction since we usually visualize all the darkest possible outcomes.

So, even if it is well-intentioned, worry blankets the poor recipients’s energy field in a ngative vibe [akin to sludge].

It is simple instead to learn to send blessings and soon as worry begins.  Just hold the person in your mind filled with light and happiness and see them peaceful and content.”

Worry deserves all the colors of Love.

Another morsel from the Holy Spirit as I continued to ask how to use my prone-to-worry overactive thinker/planner self to my advantage:

HS:  Dear One, when you feel that prick of rushing ahead to worry through responsibility say:

Thank you!  Thank you for this moment I can take to remember God’s perfect order of Love is always happening.  It needs no help from me, simply my joyful acceptance, willingness and welcome.

Let the feelings of responsibility (and the worry that sprouts from this) signal time for a joy and gratitude break, rather than a to-do list.  Once in joy and gratitude, then you can give Me the to-do list and I will happily fill it for your delight and blessing.

  1. This deeply resonates with me, as I come from a long line of worriers …. But there came a day when I said to myself, Worrying (it was invariably about the children) is of no help to them whatsoever. So – either do something practical to help them and/or pray – or do nothing at all. Trust in the Lord. For me this was a huge step forward. And of course I (try to) apply it to my whole worry list.

    • This is wonderful advice. The doing nothing at all is particularly delicious and trusting! xoxo

  2. I love this scripture from Timonthy:

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee. … “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:6–7.)

    • Oh this is one of my absolute favorite verses! Thanks for sharing Vicki!! xoxo
