3. Day 12: Can God Change Channels?

I am loving the bounty being showered upon me with this extending love to my epic fears project (which has become my daily practice).  My friend Bartholomew, who I would describe as another voice and flavor of Love has written the most beautiful and perfect piece on fear which I will share below.  I want to add a few thoughts (please feel free to extend love to this thought if it is shocking or frightening in any way) about what is sometimes called channeled writing or speaking.  In the past 30 or so years there have been quite a number of channeled writings or speakings:  Seth, Bartholomew, Abraham, Jesus in A Course In Miracles (what my friend’s mother called the Bible II), Mary Magdalene etc..  In fact so many that we are beginning to get more comfortable with them as with the bevy of beautiful material in “Conversations With God” by Neal Donald Walsh,  “The Voice for Love” by DavidPaul and Candace Doyle, and the uniquely presented material in Gary Renard’s “Disappearance of the Universe”.

Suffice it to say we are beginning to open to our Whole Voice.  Our Voice we share that is only Love.  Our Voice that is infinite, precious and wholly connected to that Divine One we can barely contain in even the reverential title of God.  Just let the idea be, for a brief moment, that God is speaking to us in any way that we will listen.  If we will listen to God’s Love through an unlikely channel then good.  How many times have you hoped that someone other than yourself could pass on the truth to your own children that they are perfect, whole, capable and confident when they are not feeling this themselves?  How you silently cheered

when your daughter came home and said brightly “Mom!  Did you know it is important to wash your hands after going to the bathroom because of GERMS?!” which she learned in school that day.  Did you froth and anger because though you had said this at least 462 times the Teacher said it once and it stuck?  No, you rejoiced and felt that you had an ally in this walk of parenthood.

When I read (and now share) writing that is presented as from a deeper source I now take note, I sit alertly and open my heart for I know this is a teeny taste of that incredible vastness of Love, of God that I can barely take in.  I can remember as a child being stunned by the idea of “Eternity”, I almost didn’t want to know about it, it seemed further away than Galveston (I grew up in Houston, TX) and beyond that city was the great brown ocean (aka Gulf of Mexico) and who knew what happened after that?

Wow.  I must have needed to share that and you must have needed me to.  I think we will wait until tomorrow to share the quote on fear.  Until then, allow the possibility that all those writings we might have bristled at when we came across them in one form or another that were broadly labelled “channeled” are an exquisite gift from the Vastness that is Love.

I extend possibility to this thought.
